BSC is looking for talented and motivated professionals with expertise in Design Integration for a European HPC accelerator in the context of the DARE Project and other related research projects. The design is based on RISC-V architecture. BSC contributes a RISC-V vector accelerator, scalar RISC-V cores and other components, with other partners contributing other processor IPs: integrating the IPs is key for success of the project.
- Integrating complex IP from project partners, chip-top integration lead
- Interacting and synchronizing with the verification team to ensure seamless integration.
- setup integration timeline towards tapeout, define micro-milestones, ensure all teams adhere to milesstones
- Interact with CI/CD team to set proper checks with integration milestones and for daily top-level CI/CD runs.
- Participate in project meetings as well as major reviews.
- Preparing deliverables related to integration
- Make sure the integration timeline is adhered to with all related partners

Education
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, with demonstrable professional experience.

Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Experience of at least 2-3 years in a leading position in integration, preferably in European research projects with multiple partners.
- Prior experience of and expertise in integrating complex processor designs to tapeout
- Working with integrating obfuscated/encrypted RTL
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team according to an established timeline.

Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Deep understanding of Modern in-order and out-of-order processor core and accelerator designs.
- Experience with one or more Instruction Set Architectures (ISAs) including RISC-V, and their implementation within in-order and out-of-order processor cores.
- Good knowledge of the RISC-V privileged and unprivileged ISA, as well as the vector extension.
- Experience integrating complex scenarios in SoCs, like interrupts.
- Fluency in English is essential, Spanish is welcome.

- The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department

- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration

Development of the recruitment process
The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición"). The recruitment process consists of two phases:
- Curriculum Analysis: Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position. - 40 points
- Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.
The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.
The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.
