The BSC Visualization team has been shortlisted at the well-known Imagine Science Film Festival taking place October 14 – 21, 2016 in New York. The film Simulados will be screened next 16 October at the New York Hall of Science in the Science for Nanos shorts category.
One of the shortfilm's directors, Guillermo Marín, will also participate in the Science Futures: Talks & Reception panel talking about the work of the BSC Visualization team.
This is the second consecutive year that the BSC Visualization team is shortlisted at this festival. Last year, the festival selected the short documentary Sniff .
About Simulados
Simulados is the story of a hunter-gatherer from 12000 years ago trying to survive in one of the most extreme climates in the world. In their journey we’ll learn how computer simulations help us understand the workings of our societies, and how they might help us face the consequences of complex challenges such as climate change.
