BSC offers a wide range of measures and support services aimed at promoting women. To get this objective, we work from different approaches to attract women to research, empowering the brightest scientist in top positions of responsibility, and making visible women’s work.
Three Strategic Approaches
1. "Fix the Numbers" focuses on increasing women's and underrepresented groups' participation.
2. "Fix the Institutions" promotes inclusive equality in careers through structural change in research organizations.
3. "Fix the Knowledge" or "Gendered Innovations" stimulates excellence in science and technology by integrating sex, gender, and intersectional analysis into research.
BSC currently has 4 initiatives linked to the research departments coordinated by the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Unit. The initiatives collaborate and share experiences of improvement, to promote the actions and measures established in the Gender Equity Plan.
