The Minister of Industry, Trade and Touris, Reyes Maroto, has visited the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) today to know about the research being carried out.
The centre's director, Mateo Valero, the associate director, Josep M. Martorell and the director of Operations, Sergi Girona, have accompanied the minister during the visit and have informed her of the most outstanding projects, including the future installation of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, the European chip project and the collaboration with companies and the BSC spin-offs.
The visit was also attended by the Secretary General for Industry, Raúl Blanco, as well as the Rector of the UPC, Francesc Torres.
