January 2015: Prof. Mateo Valero presented a short talk on "Run-time Aware Architectures" at Big Data and Extreme-scale Computing (BDEC) 2015.
 
January 2015: Raul Vidal successfully defended their Bachelor Thesis at UPC, entitled "Parallelization techniques of the Facesim simulator"
 
January 2015: Paul Caheny and Emilio Castillo joined the RoMoL team as PhD students. 
 
November 2014: Prof. Mateo Valero presented the talk "Run-time Aware Architectures" at SC 2014 and the JLESC Workshop. Dr. Marc Casas also presented the talk "Exploiting asynchronous programming models to reduce faults impact in iterative solvers" at the JLESC Workshop (web).
 
November 2014: A paper from the RoMoL team has been accepted for publication at ADAPT 2015, a workshop co-located with HiPEAC 2015 conference. The paper "Adaptive and application dependent runtime guided hardware prefetcher reconfiguration on the IBM POWER7" will be presented in January 2015 in the workshop.
 
October 2014: Dr. Marc Casas and Miquel Moreto presented the talk entitled "OmpSs: Leveraging a Task-based Programming Model and Dataflow Runtime for Reliability" at the HiPEAC CSW in the Thematic Session "Error-Aware Systems: Opportunities and Challenges for Handling Errors at Multiple Levels" (web)

September 2014: David Prat successfully defended his Master Thesis at UPC entitled "Adaptive and Application Dependant Runtime Guided Hardware Reconfiguration for the IBM POWER7".
 
July 2014: Damián Roca successfully defended his Master Thesis at UPC entitled "High Level Queuing Architecture Model for High-end Processors".
 
June 2014: Daniel Ruiz and Iulian Brumar successfully defended their Bachelor Thesis at UPC, entitled "Parallelization techniques of the x264 video encoder" and "Exploring Scalability Techniques Of OmpSs", respectively.
 
May 2014: Prof. Mateo Valero presented the opening keynote of the HiPEAC 10th Anniversary Workshop (webpage) during the HiPEAC Computing Systems Week in Barcelona. The title of the talk was "Run-time Aware Architectures".
 
May 2014: A paper from the RoMoL team has been accepted for publication at Euro-Par 2014. The paper entitled "DReAM: Per-Task DRAM Energy Metering in Multicore Systems" will be presented in the main track of the conference. to be held in Porto, Portugal, August 2014.
 
March 2014: Dr. Marc Casas and Miquel Moreto have been awarded with a postdoctoral fellowship from the Catalan Government (Beatriu de Pinos Program) and Spanish Government (Juan de la Cierva Program), respectively. 
 
February 2014: Iulian Brumar, Daniel Ruiz, and Raul Vidal joined to RoMoL team to perform their final degree thesis within the RoMoL project.
 
February 2014: Dimitrios Chasapis has been awarded with a Severo Ochoa fellowship to complete his PhD within the RoMoL project.
 
December 2013: Two papers from the RoMoL team have been accepted for publication at IPDPS 2014. The papers entitled "Active Measurement of Memory Resource Consumption" and "Active Measurement of the Impact of Network Switch Utilization on Application Performance" will be presented in May 2014 in the Sotware track of the conference.
 
September 2013: Dr. Marc Casas presents the first RoMoL publication at ModSim 2013 (webpage), entitled "MUSA: A Multiscale Simulation Approach for Exascale Computing".
 
September 2013: Dimitrios Chasapis, Vladimir Dimic, Luc Jaulmes, and Xubin Tan joined the RoMoL team as PhD students! They will be in charge of investigating more efficient, reliable, and sustainable processors.
 
September 2013: César Allande joined the RoMoL team as a research support engineer! He will be in charge of developing a simulation infrastructure suitable for future Exascale systems based on runtime-aware architectures.
 
July 2013: Iulian Brumar and Jaume Pujantell joined the RoMoL team as summer interns! They will be in charge of porting to OmpSs the applications from the PARSEC benchmark suite, evaluating their performance, and comparing the results with the ones obtained with other programming models such as OpenMP, MPI, etc.
 
June 2013: Damià Roca recently joined the RoMoL team as a PhD student. He will work on hybrid networks on chip that feature electrical, optical and wireless capabilities.
 
June 2013: Dr. Marc Casas has joined the RoMoL team after three years working at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. Marc's experience on high performance computing will contribute to the success of the RoMoL project.
 
April 2013: The RoMoL project begins! Professors Mateo Valero, Eduard Ayguade, and Jesus Labarta, together with Dr. Miquel Moreto are building the RoMoL team and discussing the research objectives of the project.
