Biography

Carlos Romero Madrid joined the BSC Fusion group in 2023 as part of the Advanced Computing Hub project, aiming to optimize parallelization of fusion codes. Before moving to Barcelona, he conducted plasma research at the PSFT group of the University of Seville and developed optimization algorithms at the Cognitive Radar group of the Fraunhofer Institute in Bonn.

Carlos obtained a MSc in Plasma Physics at the Univesity of Aix-Marseille (2020), BSc in Physics (2018) and BSc in Mathematics (2018) at the University of Seville. Currently, he is pursuing a MSc in Advanced Mathematics.

In his free time, Carlos enjoys climbing and camping in nature, reading and playing music with friends.
