Toyotaro Suzumura (IBM) will present a popular data model that naturally represents many problems in the real world.

Started in 2011, the Mont-Blanc project leverages the fast growing market of mobile technology for scientific computation. During the project, several ARM-based computational platforms have been deployed and configured as production systems for HPC. Also, a complete software stack has been developed and consolidate in order to allow the execution of most complex parallel codes. The Mont-Blanc project have paved the way for enabling ARM in HPC and with this event the Mont-Blanc project wants to promote and encourage the exchange of experiences and knowledges among all the major players that contributes to make ARM-based scientific computing a reality.

This year's Christmas lecture is about BSC involvement in the Heidelberg Laureate Forum.The talks and following discussion will present the aims of the HLF and share experiences of BSC researchers that have participated on it. You can discuss with them how to go through the application process and understand the potential benefits of participating in the forum. Coffee will be served. Registration is required.

The International HPC Training Consortium is organizing a workshop entitled “Third SC Workshop on Best Practices for HPC Training” to be held at the SC16 Conference on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. The goal of this workshop is to engage individuals around the globe to share expertise and best practices for in-person, web-based and asynchronous HPC training for the community.
