Roberto Viola has been received by the directors of the center, who have presented him BSC’s research projects and challenges
The Director General of DG CONNECT (Directorate General of Communication, Networks, Content and Technology) at the European Commission, Roberto Viola, has visited today the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC) with the director of Digital Excellence and Science Infastructure, Thomas Skorda.
BSC director Mateo Valero, and the associate director, Josep M. Martorell, have been in charge of presenting him the Center, the research projects that are being carried out and the future challenges. In the meeting also participated the BSC Engineering Department director, José Maria Cela, the BSC Operations department director, Sergi Girona, and Frabrizio Gagliardi, center’s senior strategic advisor.
After the presentation, the delegation has visited MareNostrum 4 supercomputer.
