The College of Engineers of Murcia has recognized BSC for promoting high impact scientific projects and developing talent and technology
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) has received the “Technological Support to Scientific Research” Award at the XXIII Telecommunications Night of the Region of Murcia, held on October 18 in el Palmar.
The College and the Association of Telecommunications Engineers of the Region of Murcia have recognized BSC for “its impact on scientific research, its innovation in supercomputing architecture, its high impact projects, its training and development of talent and its innovative medical technology”, in the words of the dean and president of the college and the association, Juan Luis Pedreño.
The award was collected by the director of BSC, Mateo Valero, who expressed his gratitude for the recognition. The Telecommunications Night of the Region of Murcia has established itself as the main ICT event in the region of Murcia, bringing together an important representation of companies and entities that lead the economic growth and digital transformation of the country.
The rest of the award winners were the Royal Academy of Engineering for 'Promoting Engineering in Spain'; the Atresmedia Foundation for 'Social Commitment to the Responsible Use of Digitalization'; and the Navantia company for 'Technological Innovation'.
