The Innovation Journey 2023, the technology transfer training program driven by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center- Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS), concluded extraordinarily on Wednesday, December 13, as part of the Tech Spirit Barcelona event.
Specifically designed for researchers with entrepreneurial aspirations, this year's edition of the program involved the participation of 15 projects during 7 training sessions aimed at providing participants with the tools and resources needed to materialize their most innovative ideas.
In contrast to previous editions, this year the program opened its doors not only to researchers from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center but also to talents from the X4HPC network. This inclusion allows for fostering synergies between different research organizations.
The program's final took place at the Llotja de Mar during the Tech Spirit Barcelona event, where attendees could get to know about the different projects presented, as well as the award winners.
The awarded projects were:
- HoriZyme, a solution aimed at preventing the presence of microplastics in water through the design of specific enzymes. In collaboration with the Market Assessment Program from EADA, the project was awarded guidance to develop the business model.
- OneCareAI, a project that seeks to improve stroke risk prediction through AI technology. In collaboration with Norrsken Barcelona, it was awarded 1 year of HouseMembership, with full access to the space and the innovation hub community.
