INPhINIT is a new doctoral fellowship programme devoted to attracting international Early-Stage Researchers to the top Spanish research centres in the areas of Bio and Health Sciences, Physics, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. INPhINIT is promoted by "la Caixa" Foundation with the aim of supporting the best scientific talent and fostering innovative and high-quality research in Spain by recruiting outstanding international students and offering them an attractive and competitive environment for conducting research of excellence. The”la Caixa”-INPhINIT fellowship programme is co-funded by the European Commission through COFUND, one of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie initiatives of the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme.
Barcelona Supercomputing Center offers 8 predoctoral positions within the programme. The selected candidates will have the opportunity of joining BSC’s research groups to carry out one of the research projects listed below. - Resilience and Robustness of Next Generation Intelligent Distributed Systems (Dr. Leonardo Bautista)
- Innovative Deep Learning methods and models for semantic perception (Dr. Dario García)
- Lead (drug) optimization with the next generation drug design software PELE Studio (Dr. Victor Guallar)
- Application of protein-protein docking to help characterizing disease-related mutations for personalized medicine (Dr. Juan Fernandez Recio)
- High-fidelity numerical simulations of reacting sprays under engine-like conditions (Dr. Mariano Vázquez and Dr. Daniel Mira)
- In-silico laboratory for cardiac safety drug testing (Dr. Mariano Vázquez and Dr. Jazmín Aguado-Sierra)
- Climate predictions for climate services (Dr. Albert Soret)
- Mineral dust composition and effects upon climate (Dr. Carlos Pérez García-Pando)
