Around 100 participants attended the PUMPS summer school

The 4th edition of the Programming and Tuning Massively Parallel Systems (PUMPS) summer school run smoothly with around 100 participants.

The 4th edition of the Programming and Tuning Massively Parallel Systems (PUMPS) summer school started on Monday 8 June with around 100 international participants. The aim of the PUMPS Summer school, which finished on Friday 12th July, is to enrich the skills of researchers, graduate students and teachers with cutting-edge technique and hands-on experience in developing applications for many-core processors with massively parallel computing resources like GPU accelerators. This year, the PUMPS summer school was also part of the Advanced Training Centre program of PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe).

The Summer School Co-Directors are Mateo Valero, director of BSC-CNS and Professor at Universitat Politècnica Catalunya-Bartelona Tech, and Wen-mei Hwu, Professor at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The PUMPS summer school is organized by BSC, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, HiPEAC and runs every year in July in Barcelona, Spain.
