Context And Mission
Applications are invited for a PostDoc position to conduct investigations on the timing performance) prediction for high-performance hardware platforms in the context of the reliable power and time-constraints-aware predictive management of heterogeneous systems.
The main objective is to propose appropriate models for the timing prediction of high-performance heterogeneous platforms, as well as reliability characteristics of those platforms for time-constrained applications.
Additionally, the researcher will need to collaborate on the progress of other research fronts related to the implementation of hardware designs on FPGAs advising PhD and master students, and engineers.

Key Duties
- Participate the development of timing models for high-performance heterogeneous hardware platforms with an emphasis on compute GPUs
- Participate the development of timing models for high-performance heterogeneous hardware platforms with an emphasis on graphic GPUs.
- Provide support to the projects of the group in these topics
- Co-advice PhD students on these topics.
- Development and deployment of software randomization techniques for safe over the air software updates.
Requirements

Education
- PhD in Computer Sciences or Telecommunications (or similar).

Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Previous experience on GPUs for the space domain
- Previous experience on GPUs for the automotive domain
- Experience in EU-funded and/or private-funded projects.

Competences
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines pressure
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Capacity to interact and build strong relations with other research groups
- Good verbal communication skills in English

- The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department

- Duration: Temporary - 1 year renewable
