Context And Mission

The candidate will develop, verify, validate, and apply atrial simulation models in Alya. His/her tasks will include programming and testing the cell model, the tissue model, the electromechanical coupling, and the anatomical model with all its features.

Key Duties

  • Study the different options and choose the best one
  • Program the models in Alya and test them. Check and improve parallel performance. Write the regression tests and include them in the Alya CI/CD pipeline.
  • Verify and validate the models. Discuss with the rest of the project's partners, including doctors.
  • Publish results in first quartile journals and present them in conferences

Requirements

  • Education
    • PhD in computational mechanics
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Alya code as developer
    • Parallel programming
    • Computational non-linear solid mechanics, CFD, contact algorithms
    • At least 8 years as postdoc in this field
    • Fluency in English
  • Competences
    • Great communication skills
    • Intensive teamwork

Conditions

  • The position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department

  • Duration: Temporary - 2 years renewable
