Context And Mission

Reporting to BSC’s Technology Transfer Manager, the TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER IPR junior officer will support activities mainly focused on keeping BSC’s IPR portfolio registers and BSC spin-off portfolio updated. In addition to IPR management tasks, identifying, registering, protecting and facilitating the exploitation of BSC’s research results, he or she will also help with activities which reinforce BSC’s positioning in HPC innovation ecosystem by promoting the use of BSC’s portfolio of technologies to society and market.

    Responsibilities
    1. Provide help on protecting BSC research project results in the most appropriate way
    a. Provide help on Identifying BSC research results
    b. Provide help on registering BSC research results via Intellectual Property Disclosure Form
    c. Provide help on protecting BSC research results in the most appropriate way
    2. Provide help on maintaining updated BSC portfolio of technologies
    3. Provide help registering BSC spin off documentation


Requirements

  • Education
    • Business or Law degree preferred (applicants with a science or engineering degree will also be considered)
    • Knowledge on innovation, IPR management or similar a plus
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Work experience is not essential but candidates who have knowledge on the following areas, will be at an advantage:

      ● Computer and Computational Sciences
      ● Start-ups creation
  • Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Competences
    • Fluency in English, Spanish and Catalan essential

Conditions

  • The position will be located at BSC within the Directors Department
