Context And Mission

The Programming Models group at BSC is offering a position compatible with pursuing a Master’s degree. The successful candidate will work on the MLIR/LLVM compilation framework to implement DSLs. The candidate will contribute to industrial and/or European research project, extending the framework to support new requirements and disseminating the work through conference and journal publications. We are looking for a motivated and talented graduate student with a good academic record and background or interest in programming models, High-Performance Computing, and Domain-Specific Languages.

  • Implement DSLs on top of MLIR/LLVM

Requirements

  • Education
    • The candidate has to be accepted into a master’s degree program to be eligible for this position.
    • BSc in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Previous knowledge of MLIR and LLVM
  • Competences
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines and pressure
    • Ability to work independently and in a team

Conditions

  • The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department

  • Duration: Temporary - 31/01/2023 renewable
