Biography

I obtained my degree as an Information Systems Engineer from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN-FRBA), Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2014. During my studies I worked in the private sector and participated in research projects with university professors, continuing my participation in several research projects after graduating. In 2017 I was awarded a doctoral scholarship from the Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica (CNEA), Argentina, where I worked in the Codes and Models Section developing the DIONISIO nuclear fission fuel code. I obtained the Doctor of Science and Technology degree in Materials Science from the Instituto de Tecnología Jorge A. Sabato - Universidad Nacional de General San Martín (UNSAM), Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2021. My thesis was on modelling fracture mechanics in nuclear fission fuel rods using the finite element method and incorporating these models in the DIONISIO code. As of 2021, I am a researcher in the Fusion Group (Computer Applications in Science & Engineering department) of BSC, working on the development of fusion-related modules of Alya, a massively parallel finite element framework developed at BSC (click the link for additional info).
