Abstract: As Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer of the BSC, I work to improve the global numbers and visibility of women at the BSC, develop and implement the Gender Equity Plan (GEP) and increase awareness regarding how to introduce the sex, gender, and diversity analysis (SG&DA) in both the policy of each department and their scientific production. During the last year, we have approached Londa Schiebinger, Professor at Stanford and Director of Gendered Innovations in Science, Health & Medicine, Engineering, and Environment supported by Stanford University, the NSF, and the European Commission. Prof. Schiebinger, one of the main international references on gender analysis in science and innovation in technology. This great opportunity allowed me to learn about her research and work with her on the BSC GEP, as well as engage in networking with various key stakeholders and European policymakers, developing topics of mutual interest between her group and our teams at the BSC for national and international projects. This short stay gives me the possibility to enhance collaborations, networks and access to the domain expertise leaders in the field in Artificial Intelligence and SG&DA in science. It was an excellent opportunity to build professional bridges between BSC and Stanford University. I will present the results of the stay, collaborations and future joint actions.
