Abstract
The presenters will share their experiences of running the NeCTAR - the largest academic and research cloud deployment in Australia and present an overview of the architecture, use, and the corresponding training programme as well as the recently developed new hybrid HPC and cloud system which is cost-efficient, flexible, and encourages high-throughput, covering the general and specific elements of the system design, issues that were raised in implementation, and the future of the system
Short Bio
Lev Lafayette is the HPC and Training Officer for Research Platforms at the University of Melbourne. Prior to that he worked at a similar role for several years at the Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing.
Martin Paulo is the Research and Operations Engineer for Research Platforms at the University of Melbourne. Prior to that he worked as a developer at the Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing and the Victorian eResearch Initiative.
