Angel Poc Lopez

Primary tabs

Ángel Poc-López is a research engineer in speech and natural language processing (NLP) in the Language Technologies Unit of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación. Here he works in the research and development of large language models also collaborating in the development of automatic speech recognition techniques.

He is also a PhD student at the University of Zaragoza doing research on machine learning and statistical mechanics techniques applied to the study of formal and computational models of biological, cognitive and complex systems. He is specialized in the use of maximum entropy statistical models (e.g. Boltzmann machines) for the study of the emergent behavior taking place in complex systems such as neural networks. He is interested in studying the perspective of neural systems as complex systems and in translating this knowledge to the fields of artificial intelligence and deep learning.
