Objectives

This is an introductory and comprehensive tutorial about some general aspects of supercomputing and parallel programming as well as some specific issues about the Spanish Supercomputing Network facilities. The availability and access procedure to other European Infrastructures will be also covered. Attendess will be able to learn the basics on several aspects of supercomputing according to their specific needs, including the general procedures and best practice of the facilities available in Spain and Europe. They will be able to understand some aspects of the underlaying architectures so they can choose the best options to program, tune, compile, run and analyze their codes.

The RES (Spanish Supercomputing Network), coordinated by BSC, will organize the RES User's Seminar Introduction to High Performance Computing.
