He is a researcher at the Environmental Simulations group within the Computer Applications in Science and Engineering (CASE) Department at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). His academic background encompasses a transversal scientific, innovative and business education in environmental engineering and geospatial technology, including: a PhD in Environmental Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering, a Masters Degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing from Rutgers University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Princeton University, and a Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson Univeristy. Addtionally he has gain an Executive Entrepreneurship and Open Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship postgraduates from the University of Barcelona and ESADE Business School. He has been awarded serveral Research Marie Curie fellowships from the European Research Council -Initial Training Networks (ITN) under the FP7 Framework (2011-2013 & 2013-2016). Currently, he manages the creation of an atmospheric services spin-off that aims at developing and commercializating SORT-ATM. He has more than 15 years of international experience in R&D as researcher, developer and project manager for the public and private sectors. At the academic level, he serves in ESADE and IESE MBA innovation programs, and has held Associate Professorships positions at different American Universities.
