Visits to the BSC

BSC allows to visit the MareNostrum supercomputer housed in the Torre Girona chapel. All visits will be led by personnel from the center and will include a guided visit to the supercomputer.

The visit lasts approximately 30-45 minutes and consists of a video presentation of the center and the supercomputer, followed by a tour of the facilities. BSC will not make visits on public holidays.

BSC will study each application individually and contact applicants as fast as possible to assign a day and time for the visit. For security reasons, everybody wishing to visit the center has to supply the National Identity Number (DNI) or Passport Number.

Norms of access and security:

Applications should be sent one week ahead of the visit.
Groups containing children must be accompanied by two adults who take responsibility for them.
The instructions of the personnel of the Center will be followed at all times.
Access to the facilities will not be allowed to those carrying any material considered dangerous by the security personnel of the Center.
Once the visit has started no new people may join the group.
It is not permitted to leave the visit once it has begun.
The BSC reserves the right to cancel the visit if it fails to fulfill any norm of security or if there is a delay of more than 15 minutes without previous warning.
