Plasma PhysicsOVERVIEW BSC is part of the EUFORIA (EU Fusion fOR Iter Applications) project, funded by European Union under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), which will provide a comprehensive framework and infrastructure for simulation into plasma fusion physics, linking grid and High Performance Computing (HPC), to the fusion modelling community. As part of the EUFORIA project, a set of simulation codes for plasma physics and magnetic confinement fusion have been installed, analyzed and study in terms of their performance and scalability in our High Performance Computing (HPC) platforms to guarantee the full access to the users and developers across Europe. Besides that, BSC start a closer collaboration with the plasma fusion group of CIEMAT in order to improve plasma fusion codes for run in cell processors. This work is part of the PRACE project.
