Information for visitors
Before your visit
Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting your application.
Applications should be submitted using the online form. The program will last for four years and there will be approximately four Calls for Applications every year. Applications should not be made more than six months before the proposed start date of the visit.
Applications are particularly encouraged from the following categories of researchers:
- Those from research groups which have not previously benefited from the program;
- Those whose research would benefit from HPC facilities but who would not normally be able to have access in their own country;
- Those working in fields not traditionally associated with HPC.
Selection meetings for HPC-Europa are held every three months. The next deadline for applications is 15th May 2012.
As a general rule, you should apply between two and six months before you would like to begin your visit. After your application has been successfully accepted, you will receive an e-mail with more information.

Once your application has been accepted, your host will get in touch with you. Please, communicate your travelling plans to the hpc-europa [dot] hosting

During your visit
On your first day, please get in touch with your host who will arrange your visit.

Concerning your work at BCS, before finishing your stay, you should submit an abstract describing the results obtained by your research project as well as a questionnaire. Both of them will be available at your personal HPC-Europa web page.
After your visit
You should also submit a final online report describing your research project in detail by latest three months after your stay. This report will be published in the HPC-Europa annual report book, that will be send out to all visitors at the beginning of the following year.
For any publications related to your visit, please remember to include the acknowledgement to HPC-Europa program. The text should be the following:
"This work was carried out under the HPC-EUROPA project (RII3-CT-2003-506079), with the support of the European Community - Research Infrastructure Action under the FP6 "Structuring the European Research Area" Program)."
HPC-Europa appreciate if you could send a list of publications, conferences, seminars, etc. with the following format:
Authors, Title, Journal/Conference, PP, Date of publication.
