Timeline

After acceptance, authors will find here indications and templates for preparing the CR final versions of full-papers and extended-abstracts. Please, be specially careful with formatting issues and double check the generated final PDF or ODT file, that will appear as such in the e-proceedings.

The submission link is the same https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=socialsimulation2014, and the deadline for the CR submission process is June 15th 2014.

You can submit your final version in any of the three formats:

  • OpenDocument (preferred)
  • LaTeX
  • MSWord (deprecated)

OpenDocument Format

Preparing an article in the OpenDocument Format, please, use the following template and guide. You can refer to Wikipedia for a list of applications that support OpenDocument format.
Use “SSC14_ODT_Template.odt” file as a template for your contribution. The article elements (titles, abstract, author's name and address, programming code fragments, table and figure captions etc.) should be formated using the corresponding styles (see the documentation). You are not allowed to change explicitly fonts, paragraph formatting, etc.

When submitting an article in OpenDocument Format, please, provide:

  • The source of the paper (*.odt).
  • Files of all the inserted graphics (any vectorial or graphic format).
  • PDF file with the final version of your contribution, for the proceedings publication.

LaTeX Format

To prepare an article in LaTeX, use the standard IEEEtran document class. It can be downloaded form here. Additional instruction for this macro package usage (inserting of graphic files, algorithms, programming code fragments, etc) can be found here. This document is based on the guide "Preparation of Papers in Two-Column Format for Conference Proceedings Sponsored by IEEE" that can be found within the IEEE portal. Please, use the source of this document as a template for your article.

When submitting an article in LaTeX, please, provide:

  • The source of the paper (TeX folder including *.tex, *.bib, etc...).
  • Files of all the inserted graphics (EPS, or PDF files).
  • PDF file with the final version of your contribution, for the proceedings publication.

MSWord

If you choose MSWord format, please, first of all consider the possibility to switch to ODT, or to LaTeX, which produces platform-independent documents.

To submit an article in MSWord, use the following template and guide. Use the “SSC14_DOC_Template.doc” file, included as a template for your contribution. The article elements (titles, abstract, author's name and address, programming code fragments, table and figure captions etc.) should be formated with the corresponding styles (see the documentation). You are not allowed to change explicitly fonts, the paragraph formatting, etc.

Do not try to adjust the format of your article manually. It is better to leave not perfectly formatted text "as is".

You are encouraged to convert the article to OpenDocument format. Please, refer to the WWW for a list of available converters (“doc to odt converters”).

When submitting an article in MSWord, please, provide:

  • The source of the paper (*.doc). Do not use Open XML format (*.docx extensions) !
  • Files of all the inserted graphics (any vectorial or graphic format).
  • PDF file with the final version of your contribution, for the proceedings publication.
