BSC Researchers participate in EUROfusion experiments in Germany

19 October 2015

Last week BSC researchers Mervi Mantsinen and Dani Gallart visited the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak at Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (Garching, Germany) under the EUROfusion Medium Size Tokamak campaigns.

Mervi and Dani participated in experiments to study fast ion transport which were partly based on their proposal and planning. After a successful run day on Friday with new interesting results, the experiments will now be analyzed and modelled in order to prepare for the second part of these experiments in November.
