Support Structure

The organization of BSC – CNS has a Support Structure that collaborates with all areas included in the Scientific Structure in order to make science progress. It includes the three following departments:

• Computer Applications in e-Science and Engineering: this department is organized in two groups covering from the conception and development of algorithms up to their efficient coding in parallel architectures, including the implementation of specific numerical libraries:

• HP Computational Mechanics
• Numerical Modelling

• Operations: this department is structured in three groups:

• System Administration
• User Support
• Facility Management

• Management: this department is divided in two main areas:

• Business Administration, this group includes the following services:
  • Human Resources
  • Accounting & Finance
  • General Administration
• Business Development, the structure of this area covers the following groups:
• Projects & Technology Transfer
• Marketing & Communication
